What Type Of Idea Should I Submit?

We are looking for original web 2.0 and new service oriented ideas that can be turned into a viable, profitable business. Have you ever said to a friend, "Wouldn't it be cool if...?" If you were referring to a new online company or an original service business idea, then we want to hear from you!

Here are some additional thoughts to guide you:

• Not an existing franchise or business. We are looking for a business idea that has yet to be developed or an idea that is an improvement on an existing service or web-based business.
  
  
• Business-to-consumer. We favor business concepts that target the everyday consumer.
  
  
• Reasonable level of investment. While ideas that require millions of dollars in financing are valuable, they are not feasible for most aspiring entrepreneurs. We are partial to ideas that have high upside and can be started for a reasonable level of investment (less than $50k to start).
  
  
• Not specific to local area. We prefer ideas that are not restricted to a small geographic area; however, we love ideas that have a niche market.
  
  
• Does not require an advanced degree to launch and operate. Although we are seeking fresh, innovative, compelling business ideas, we prefer those that don't require a PhD.

The best business ideas represent solutions to problems that make things better, easier, faster, or more efficient for the everyday consumer. And, the bigger the nagging, aching customer need, the better - where the gap of dissatisfaction is so huge that the customer will do almost anything to obtain the solution!!
